“Can I Go home now?” A question no child should have to ask

They ask one question every day: “Can I go home now?”

Dear Friends,

A few days before Christmas, there is one question Ukrainian children keep asking as the war continues: “Can I Go home now?”

This question became the heart of a documentary unlike any other.

Can I Go Home Now? is a feature-length cinema documentary filmed inside an active war zone in Ukraine. Produced by a registered charity foundation, with multiple Oscar and Grammy winners.

In this film, no adults speak.

Only children. Without politics.

They speak about fear, memory, absence, and the idea of home.

They speak with a clarity and honesty that no report, statistic, or political statement can convey.

This film is not commentary.

It is not analysis.

It is an emotional archive, a cultural record that will remain long after headlines fade.
ikonoTV is supporting this project because we believe some films are not content, they are acts of care and responsibility.

In these final days before Christmas, we are reaching out to help identify co-producers, executive partners, or patrons who feel aligned with the mission of protecting children’s voices and bringing their stories to the world through cinema.

If you, or someone in your close circle, may be open to supporting a project of this depth and cultural importance, we would be grateful for an introduction or a conversation.

One connection can make the difference between a film remaining fragile or becoming fully realised.

At a time of year devoted to family, reflection, and protection, this film asks only one thing of us: To listen.

Thank you for helping carry these voices forward.

Warm regards,
Elizabeth Markevitch
