🌍 10 Years of Art for the Earth: Join #ArtSpeaksOut Open Call

Dear Video Artists and Filmmakers,

In 2015, as the world watched the historic Paris Agreement take shape during COP21, ikonoTV launched the very first #ArtSpeaksOut Open Call—an initiative inviting video artists to share their visions globally for our planet’s future.

Now, ten years later, we’re still here. Still broadcasting. Still believing in the power of art to move hearts and minds.

But here’s the truth:
🌿 The urgency has only grown.
⚖️ The promises of 2015 remain largely unfulfilled.
🌎 And as COP30 approaches, the world must ask: Have we truly made progress?

At ikonoTV, we believe that artists are a vital part of the global climate conversation. Art and activism go hand in hand — where one demands change, the other inspires it. Together, they shape a deeper, more human understanding of our future.

That’s why we’re marking the 10 - year anniversary of #ArtSpeaksOut by continuing what we do best:

• 📺 Broadcasting a decade’s worth of powerful environmental video art via our SmartTV and mobile platforms

• 🌱 Preparing a new round of artist showcases during COP30

• 🇧🇷 And this year, highlights will be part of “Coalition”, a four-month exhibition in Florianópolis, Brazil — a space to reflect, connect, and spark dialogue. Curated by Sara Dufour, Lauranne Germond and Marc Pottier.

We are proud to be part of a global movement made up not of politicians, but of people— artists, viewers, and communities who are all on a vital mission.

Because when politics disappoint, art keeps speaking.
